Edited by: Lord Gary on 16/05/2009 11:21:25 Edited by: Lord Gary on 16/05/2009 11:21:01 Scamming as a profession is now broken. The changes in the last patch were an un-needed nerf to what was already the hardest and most risky profession in game. No longer can we hard working scammers miss-price a contract item and hope for a sale, now we have to resort to miss-naming battleships and hoping no one notices.
The reward for scamming is now no longer in line with the great risks we take trying to make a sale. Suicide ganks, war decs on any non-npc corp we join, blocked by 75% of EVE, contract fees etc. the list of risks is growing longer with every patch while the list of possible rewards and isk sources is growning shorter.
CCP, please fix what is now the most broken profession, scamming. You know there is a huge problem when the most brilliant and talented scammer, Delphi Grendalus, has given up scamming till it is fixed. /signed Lord Gary and my 6 accounts.

This is the first post I've made on this matter. Untill now I've been silently toiling away, watching as every patch made scamming more risky and less rewarding. No More!
This last change is the straw that broke the camels back. Scamming is no longer a viable profession, it is in fact utterly BROKEN. I wont be silent any longer. I have 6 acitve and paid up accounts, all paid for by buying plexes from scammed isk which I worked twice as hard as anyone else to make. Now, I can't see me keeping more then 2 with the level of income the new changes to scamming have forced me to generate.
This needs to be looked at NOW.

When I saw her in dodixie she told me she had stopped scamming and taken up trading/ninja salvaging. I can't say I blame her as those two professions will net her 5x as much isk with zero risk.
Just sucks to see such a well respected and famous scammer like her give it up, it's like seeing your hero retire I guess.

I'm sorry but I'm very new to the whole posting thing. What do all the marks out of 10 mean? Are they how much out of ten people are agreeing with me?
In that case it's nice to see that I'm not alone in realising scamming is currently a broken and unviable profession. We scammers have been the red-headed step children of EVE for far too long now.
I'll keep my accounts till ambulation (they are all paid up for 2 years anyway) but if no new ways to scam are introduced with that realise, like "find the queen" or even pickpocketing, or if scamming in general is not looked at then I will not be renewing all 6 accounts.
If CCP wont listen to the reason and wisdom of the masses who agree with me then they will HAVE to listen to their bank-accounts.

Sure is, but he isn't in 10th legion anymore. Not that they were not great people but I just didn't enjoy nullsec space as much as I thought I would. I've freely stated many times that I've bought a character in local chat so you aren't "outting" me.
I'm flattered that you've done so much research on me though.

That is correct, someone somewhere had to pay real money for those plexes.
